Każdy z prezentowanych kolaży to drag-ja.
"Drag-Self" – While contemplating how to translate performance art into the language of printmaking, I decided to delve into the essence of drag - the multifaceted inspirations that coalesce into a specific drag persona - ultimately resulting in a collage. Each of the collages presented here represents a "drag-self." A "better" me, a "prettier" me, a more self-confident me - the version I could reveal to the world. Sometimes, this self is also bizarre or even frightening, yet always authentic to who I am. It is the "me" I aspire to be. By piecing myself together from a diverse array of elements - childhood dreams, teenage fascinations, and various hobbies - I moved beyond the simple desire to become a drag queen toward a deeper understanding of my true self. This process allowed me to embrace my past, comprehend my present, and consciously shape my future - on my own, newly defined terms. In this context, drag served as a catalyst for liberation, providing a solid foundation and a source of inspiration on my journey of self-discovery.
